Point 8 of 9 · The review
What I would not do yet
Restraint is part of the judgment. What I'd deliberately hold off on until measurement and experiments justify it.
- No big-bang homepage redesign in production before measurement justifies it. Prototyping a direction offline to de-risk it is encouraged (that's what my prototype is); betting the live homepage on an untested overhaul is not.
- No major messaging overhaul before measurement can tell winners from noise.
- No new programmatic page types until tracking and templates are clean (avoid scaling fragmentation).
- No aggressive multivariate testing before traffic and event quality are validated.
- No changes to the assessment app itself. Logged-in territory owned by Product; I focus on web-controlled factors and the handoff.
- No compliance-sensitive changes without Legal/Privacy sign-off. Medical claims, disclaimers, consent, and tracking are theirs to approve; I draft and recommend, not ship unilaterally.
